Thank you to the NanoNews Community for participating in Ask Me Anything (AMA) with Nuls on June 17, 2020. This guest star is Nuls Regional Director Mario Blacutt . If you were unable to join the live AMA, no worries, here comes our 18th AMA recap!

We are glad to meet here:
Regional Director Nuls, Mario Blacutt
For taking your time out from busy schedule for the AMA!

Introduction Segment

Q1: Can you introduce yourself to the community? What is your background and how did you join NULS?

Hello everybody! My name is Mario but everybody knows me as Berzeck (it sounds more sci-fi 😂), i am a software engineer with 20 years experience. I work for NULS since late 2018 and I am designer and developer of Nulstar which is the microservices platform on which NULS and Nerve are based on .
Right now I am in charge of directing our west operations and I am founder of Nerve

Q2: Can you briefly describe what is NULS & Nerve? and what makes NULS & Nerve different from other competitors?

NULS is a microservices-driven blockchain project that uses the Proof of Credit (PoC) consensus mechanism (dPoS plus credit rating) to mine via staking. The NULS modular design features NULSTAR, a microservices-based framework reportedly enabling enterprise-grade blockchain solutions for smart contracts, private chains, public chains, dApps and NRC-20 tokenization.

Nerve is cross chain solution for NULS, so it opens the gates to interconnect different blcokchians to the NULS ecosystem.. so instead of having one big, fat and bloated blockchain that tries to do everything by itself, we split in 2 we different goals and designs that complement each other

but one of the most important features of NULS and Nerve is that even they have state of the art technology, we acknowledge the fact that if we dont adapt and evolve for future technologies we will be deprecated, so we designed the infrastructure from scratch to be able to adapt and evolve faster than anybody else

Let me put this way:
If Vitalik find the ultimate scalability solution, while he is receiving the Turing award, we will pack the solution in a microservice and deploy it to our clients months before they do on Ethereum
so in a way its like everybody is working for us

Q3: What technology stands behind and What are its advantages?

NULS and Nerve shares Nulstar which is the infrastructure that allows us to adapt and evolve a lot faster, each module can be developed in any language you want, in fact Nulstar (Base modules) are written in C++ and NULS 2.0 modules are written in Java.. this expands exponentially our developer potential reach

also Nulstar allow to make interesting deployments, it can be used to implement any kind of system (not only blcokchain related), for example, you know when binance need to make an upgrade and takes 8 hours to do this, if they would have developed with Nulstar there would be almost zero downtime because modules can be upgraded , tested and deployed individually without shutting down the system

this kind pf technology is being implemented by microsoft facebook google, etc (microservices architecture) .. and most of the biggest software companies in the world. Don’t take my word about it you can search on google!

so the question is, why then not everybody just using it? the answer is that setting up the first time is very difficult and complex and you need to write from scratch your project and do it well…well we did it and now we are ready to present the results

for example thanks to this we were able to build ChainFactory which is a service that allows you to build your own customized blcokchain, you select modules from a menu, insert a few parameters and then you download a software application to deploy your blcokchain with the modules you selected… not only that:

you can download an explorer a WEB wallet and smart contracts module, cross chain module if you requiere.. we dont know anybody that offers this kind of product and we dont expect copycats any time soon

we have more unique products that will have impact in crypto landscape for sure.. the difference is that we develop first and pump later! so we dont talk about power point presentations, we only talk when a product is almost finished and a done deal

Q4. What are the major milestones NULS & Nerve achieved so far & what are in future pipeline?

NULS was made by a team in 9 months from scratch and with ZERO important issues on main net.. we re written it for NULS 2.0 in a few months too and again withouth any flaw at main net and with a complete new architecture nobody tried before us
the same with nerve and its almost ready to release in July!

there are a lot of milestones, not only in developemnt for example getting the first clients to develop products using NULS is very difficult because once you have a product companies ask who is already using it successfully

LIVE AMA

Q1: Could you explain what’s the main difference between 3 Different nodes ( Normal, Consensus & Virtual Banks ) of Nerve?

  1. Normal Nodes: validates transactions
  2. consensus nodes: they have the right to INSERT NEW TRANSACTIONS to the Nerve’s blockchain
  3. Virtual Banks: they have the right to INSERT NEW CROSS CHAIN TRANSACTIONS to the Nerve’s blockchain

Q2: Currently, In which country You are focusing? What are your plans to attract users on the platform from All over globe?
Any kind of seminar, Promotion, Advertisement that you can talk about?

we are not focusing in any country in particular, but we have strong presence in China and north america as well, but we hired a marketing company since March to enhance our operations in other communities as well, we are constantly running promotions in tweeter ( i think we have 3 right now, i dont keep count 😂😂, please follow it because we plan to invest a lot more.

Q3: How do you plan to spread awareness about your project in different countries where English is not spoken well? Do you have local communities for the them to let them better understand about your project?

There is a lot of interest from volunteers around the world to help as with this issue, including portugal, france, pakistan, bulgari, india, indonesia, spain, etc etc etc. also if you prove you made good work for NULS then you can apply for AMBASSADOR program which is a paid position, but you need 70% approval rate from community ( check gov.nuls.io )

Q4: The first Nerve app is NDEX. How will NDEX differ from other decentralized exchanges? What is Nerve’s economic system, what is the role of NVT in the ecosystem, and how does the phasing mechanism work?

  1. Initial distribution (1.1 billion)
    Early development: 200 million (airdrop: 10 million, 0.48%) 9.5%
    Cornerstone Investment: 300 million, 14.3%
    Nerve Foundation: 600 million, 28.6%
  2. Node consensus output (1 billion)
    0.822% disinflation rate per month

NVT is the token used to perform operations in Nerve, NDEX for example us NVT for fees

Q5: We know that the NULS ChainBox Solution gives developers an out-of-the-box blockchain, can you explain in more detail what an out-of-the-box blockchain is?

it means that when you learn to operate ChainBox after you use the tool you get a ready to use and deploy customized blockchain. ChainFactory does the same with a nice GUI and interface but less power and flexibility. We always suggest to start with ChainFactory unless you are a developer that understand abuot blcokchain development

Q6: Today, there are many blockchains for creating DApp. So, why should any developer choose NULS Blockchain to create their DApp? What additional incentives does NULS Blockchain provide developers with for creating DApps?

  1. you can make modules on any development language you want to customize your blcockchian (smart contracts needs to be written in Java though)
  2. we use a microservices architecture which let developer focus on just the module they want without touching the rest
  3. we offer free direct support increasing the chances of your project to end successfully from a power point presentation to a real product used to solve real problems
  4. we rewards developers with NULS and Nerve

Q7: What are the main challenges with NULS currently?

We have finished a portfolio of unique products that are very difficult to copycat and now we will face a growth period which is always difficult to manage well, because we may need more manpower to handle all interest

Q8: What is NULSVM virtual machine and machine code JIT? what’s the difference between the two? can you explain it to me?

NULS VM translates the instructions of your compiled smart contract to machine code almost real time.JIT means Just In Iime and those concepts are not comparable JIT is part of the VM transalation process

Q9: What is minimum nuls we should hold to receive nerve airdrop? On which wallet we can store nuls to recieve nerve?

no real limit except that transaction fee is 0.001 NULS
Any official one will do and also you can check https://bbs.nuls.io/t/announcement-on-nervenetwork-conducting-a-snapshot-airdrop-on-nuls-main-network/299
for exchanges that will support NVT airdrop, some more exchanges will confirm so visit this page constantly!!

Q10: What is the main objective of Nuls in the short and long term? What does Nuls require when exercising a node?

  1. To build a platform and a set of unique tools and products above it on which companies can build their blockchain projects minimizing costs comparing with other blcokchain projects, We achieve this thanks to products like ChainBox, ChainFactory, SCO program and NDEX
  2. NULS requieres 20k NULS to register a node and 200k stakers to make it active (receive rewards) hardware-wise it is siggested : 16gb ram and 4 core (suggested)

——————————- THE END! ————————-
Last words: Dear community I am not asking to invest right now your hard earned money in NULS, the only thing I am asking is follow our progress, nothing else, I know sooner or later you will see something you will like
